TAKEAWAYS FROM THIS EPISODE:
Crystalyn and her husband had many conversations about life after he got sick and they both said “We’re not just gonna go back to the way that we lived before. We are going to have a different life.”
A lot of people assume that a cancer diagnosis means your insurance will cover everything and it doesn’t. Not childcare. Not travel. Crystalyn and her husband were bothered by this. They decided they were going to make a difference in people’s lives. “This is what we’re gonna do moving forward. We’re gonna help people who are experiencing the financial burden of cancer.”
Change involves taking action. So take action! Even if it’s slow.
Sometimes family intentions and often self-doubt will hold you back but keep growing and learning. Keep going!
Life will always be a progress forward!
These days there is such an emphasis on working so hard that you don’t enjoy the life you’re working for.
It is not selfish to honor what you want in your life because we all know we don’t a have a million days ahead of us. We don’t know how long we have. So do what makes you happy.
Who cares what other people think!
Live intentionally. Live with a purpose!
We can do this! You can do this! We can live with a purpose and we can have our own path and being a widow is just part of that journey. It doesn’t define us but it can refine us! It can give us strength we never knew we had.
Thank you so much for listening!
